Hawke ICG 653/Universal Now With Red Deluge Seal

Safety Through Inspectability

Safety is of paramount importance on Hazardous Area installations and inspectability of equipment plays an important part in ensuring that safety.

To assist with identification, the Hawke ICG 653/Universal Cable Gland now comes as standard with a red deluge seal. Installers and/or inspectors can now easily identify those Hawke Cable Glands that are of a barrier type against those that are not. A feature that is particularly useful when Cable Glands are installed in areas which are not easily accessible and where cable gland marking is not easily visible.

The Only Visually Inspectable Deluge Seal

red deluge seal

IP66, IP67 and IP68 inspectable deluge seal certified by ITS to DTS01. This seal exceeds the deluge requirements of the offshore industry by not only preventing ingress of water into the equipment, but also into the cable gland, which could potentially corrode the cable armour/braid.

Designed For Safety

Coloured red and highly visible, it is now possible to visually distinguish between a Hawke barrier and non barrier cable gland, making identification easier and subsequent inspection faster.

Unique Inspectable Compound Chamber

removable and inspectable compound chamber

Removable compound chamber allowing inspection of the cured compound and repair of minor surface voids in situ, if required. This process can not be completed with Cable Glands employing metallic compound chambers and is therefore unique to the Hawke barrier gland range.

Please note, this change also affects the ICG 653/Universal/L and other Hawke barrier Cable Glands with optional deluge seals.
