Web Based Connector Selection Application

user interface for web based connector selection application

A web based Connector Selection Application is now available on the Hawke International website. This enables Project Designers and Electrical Engineers to spec a complete project over the internet. Projects can be saved and then recalled at a later date for additions or amendments to be made. Saved enquiries can then be sent to Hawke International for quoting purposes. This turns a previously time consuming exercise into a few mouse clicks.

The application is available to registered users of the Hawke website and only requires that Macromedia Flash Player is installed on the client P.C. This is a free download that is already installed on more than 98 percent of internet-connected machines. This removes an obstacle for organisations that do not allow desktop software to be installed on their network because of virus concerns. It also has the advantage of updates to the application being instantly available.

Macromedia's Rich Internet Application technology is used to deliver a single screen user interface, this allows all selections and amendments to be made without page re-loading, thus making selection rapid and giving a much better user experience than traditional web based applications, which can require the user to go back and forth between web pages each time a change is made or a different option is selected.

Please register with us to enable access to this application. Other features available by registering include a searchable FAQ database, that provides answers to many technical queries and has the option of submitting your question to our technical department if the database cannot provide an answer, cable gland selection application, installation training videos and downloads for full PDF catalogues and desktop product selection software.
