Hawke International Race Team Supports Willow Wood Hospice
A team of 30 Hawke International employees from shop floor and staff, including the Managing Director, helped to raise over £1500 for a local charity by taking part in the 10 kilometre BUPA Great Manchester Run.
The team, many of whom have had friends and relatives cared for at Willow Wood Hospice in Ashton decided to donate the proceeds to this well deserving local charity.
Paul Ardern who with assistance from Denise Hartle pulled the Hawke team together commented "in spite of the weather, everybody enjoyed the day and I would like to thank the race organisers, the Hawke team and all of their sponsors for making it such a great event and helping us to raise the much needed £1500 donation for Willow Wood Hospice. We are planning to make this an annual Hawke team event and are hoping that by increasing the size of next years team we will raise additional monies for the hospice".
